Very interesting to hear that a someone at the strategic level was detail orientated. You don't often see that, because there's usually a need for strategic vision and competence at the strategic level, and that need separates out the wheat from the chaff......

I used to work in DoD government contracting, and they used the phrase "butts in seats." As a young employee out of college, I didn't think much of it then, but now it makes me cringe.

I have often heard the phrase used to describe college students as in “we need more butts in seats to make budget.” Disgusting.
